This page will serve as a basic How to play guide for BattleBit Remastered. While there is very little information available at this time, we urge you to check back often, as new information is being added all the time! Feel free to edit this guide with any tips, tricks, and suggestions.
Basic gameplay
From the main menu you have quick access for joining one of three different match sizes:
- 127 vs. 127 players
- 64 vs. 64 players
- 32 vs. 32 players
This will enter you into a match with one of four possible standard gamemodes:
- Conquest: All vehicles, big map, capture flags
- Infantry Conquest: Transport vehicles only, big map, capture flags
- Domination: No vehicles, small map, capture flags
- Frontline: Capture/defend sectors (an experimental gamemode)
The server browser might have more gamemodes and non-standard maps available (like 8 vs. 8 player matches).
Additionaly, there's also the Shooting range, which includes (in addition to a shooting range) a quick tutorial on how to use the game's weapons and basic mechanics.
As you enter a game, you will be able to chose from one of six classes: Squad Leader, Assault, Medic, Engineer, Support and Recon. Their differences and general playstyles are explained on the Classes wiki page.
You unlock new weapons as you earn points in matches and raise your player level, by killing enemies or supporting your own team by healing, restocking ammo, or repariring vehicles. Progress to your next level is shown at the bottom of your screen in matches.
You unlock new parts for each weapon, such as sights, camo and grips, by earning kills with that weapon. Weapon progress and customization options are available on the Loadout screen that you can open from the map and deployment screen in a match before spawning.

Tips and tricks
Squad Leader
As squad leader, you can mark objectives for the rest of your squad with the 'Ping' button (default is middle mouse). This highlights a particular point for your squad to attack/defend. You gain bonus points if anyone on your squad either captures a marked point, or kills an enemy while attacking/defending a marked point. These bonus points can be spent on deployables such as deployable cover (walls/sandbags), resupply drop or spawn beacons. Squad leaders can also have VOIP comms with other squad leaders on their team with the "N" key. This allows coordination between squads within the same team.
Voice
You are able to communicate with people in local chat by holding "V" and speaking, however if you are discussing top secret plans within your squad, we recommend speaking in Squad only chat by holding "B" whilst speaking, thus only people in your squad are able to hear you.

Can't create clans
As of July 2023, clan creation has been disabled by the developers because it caused some issues. It will be turned back on eventually, but it is currently not known when that will be.
