ScorpionEVO
The ScorpionEVO is a Czech Carbine. It is unlocked at rank 150.
In-Game
General Information
The ScorpionEVO is a very fast-firing, high recoil Carbine. Damage is moderate, being a four-shot kill up close to unarmoured targets. Range is relatively poor, comparable to the Submachine Guns (SMGs). Muzzle velocity is relatively good, at 440 meters per second—tied with the AS Val and a cut above most SMGs. Rate of fire is very high. At 1200 RPM, it is not only best in-class but the highest firerate in-game, tied with the Kriss Vector. Subsequently, the ScorpionEVO boasts one of the fastest time-to-kills of all automatic weapons in BattleBit.
Magazine capacity is best in-class at 35 rounds, higher than a typical SMG. Recoil is extremely high, primarily vertical. With 2.7 degrees of vertical kick it is the highest recoil value of any automatic weapon in-game. Combined with the very high firerate, the ScorpionEVO is hard to control in fully-automatic fire. Other handling traits are similar to that of an SMG.
Usage & Tips
Whilst technically in the Carbine category, the ScorpionEVO is much better used as an SMG, excelling within close-quarters-combat (CQC). Aggressive playstyles, contesting objectives and chokepoints, cater to the ScorpionEVO's strengths and mitigate its lack of prowess at longer ranges. Burst firing at targets outside of CQC — around 50 meters — will aid remaining on target. For such CQC-orientated focus, explosives such as C4 are a useful alternative to the Frag Grenade, providing lethal and destructive capabilities. Smoke grenades are also worth consideration, providing concealment to reduce chances of being hit by incoming fire.
Attachment wise the ScorpionEVO has a limited selection available—it lacks any barrel attachments. A low-magnified optic of a user's choice improves target acquisition and tracking enemies whilst firing. Due to the significant recoil, the Vertical Grip is an appropriate option as it greatly reduces the vertical recoil kick. Users will still need to compensate manually but will find it more manageable. Additionally, a Laser Sight benefits hipfire performance, a boon in reactive situations.
Conclusion
The ScorpionEVO is a difficult weapon to use but once tamed, is deadly at close range. Whilst lacking the reach of other weapons, good positioning and awareness make up for this shortcoming.
