The MK14 EBR is an American Designated Marksman Rifle. It is unlocked at rank 60.
The MK14 EBR is an oddball within the designated marksman rifle (DMR) category as it is the only DMR to posses a fully-automatic firemode. Damage is lowest in-class; shots to kill against unarmored targets up close is identical to other DMRs but it will require five shots against those with Exo armor. Range is quite good, although its lower damage figures will result in a four-shot kill earlier than other DMRs. Muzzle velocity is high, but again lowest in-class, at 900 meters per second. Rate of fire is conversely second-highest within the DMR class. At 400 RPM, the MK14 EBR is the second-fastest killing DMR in-game up close. At further distances, it will lose out to the more powerful DMRs such as the M110.
Magazine capacity is tied with the MK20 for best in-class at 16 rounds, although comparatively low for automatic rifles. Reload time is average for most automatic weapons but second-fastest in the DMR category, at 3.8 seconds. Recoil is fairly low, albeit with a higher first shot kick. Coupled with the slower automatic fire, the MK14 EBR is quite controllable in full-auto out to a considerable distance. The MK14 EBR also boasts the best hipfire accuracy of any automatic weapon. Aim time and running speed are tied with the SVD for best in-class.
The MK14 EBR is an easy to use, difficult to master option within the DMR class. Its full-auto capability, decent magazine capacity and better handling traits make it better suited for medium-ranged combat compared to other DMRs. It is, however, outclassed by most automatic weapons in-game at closer ranges and even at medium range. The likes of Automatic Rifles and Light Support Guns — the SCAR-H and AK15 being notable examples — boast better firerates, magazine capacities, handling and overall time-to-kill to the body up close.
The trick with the MK14 EBR is to operate within a range bracket roughly between 250 to 500 meters. The user can take advantage of the MK14's much better damage retention over range and accuracy compared to the likes of the SCAR-H, whilst not being outclassed by other DMRs and Sniper Rifles. The MK14 EBR's lower shots to kill requirement – and far greater accuracy and controllability—means in practice it is more consistent in performance. Headshots also greatly aid the MK14 EBR's performance, reducing shots to kill and making it more competitive. For new users, using the semi-automatic mode is useful to keep on target at longer distances, switching to fully-automatic when on the move and or entering close-quarters-combat (CQC) environments.
The MK14 EBR's full-auto capability does make it more flexible in combat. Medium range optics are suitable and utilising a top sight or canted optic is a great addition to maximize the MK14 EBR's versatility. It allows users to engage at shorter and longer distances with more ease. Given the need for accuracy, grip and barrel attachments that reduce recoil are beneficial, particularly the first shot kick. However, the suppressors are also a viable option given the MK14 EBR's slower firerate.
The MK14 EBR fills a niche roll as a bridge between the high-damage automatic rifles and the rest of the DMR class. It can contend with its peers at long ranges well enough and its full-auto capability makes it far more forgiving in combat.

The Mk 14 EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle) is a battle rifle and designated marksman rifle platform, designed and made in the United States of America (USA). It fires the same cartridge as the original M14, the 7.62×51mm NATO rifle round. The EBR variant was made at the request of the US Navy SEALs for a more modern, compact version of the M14 design. Compared to the original M14, the EBR features extensive modifications with a new chassis system made of more modern, lighter metal materials to reduce weight. The addition of a collapsible stock, pistol grip, shorter 18.0 inch barrel, attached bipod, four sets of Picatinny rails, and upgraded flash hider allow it to better suit modern combat.[1]
