MP7
The MP7 is a German Submachine Gun. It is unlocked by default.
In-Game
Overview
The MP7 is one of two submachine guns (SMG) unlocked by default, the other being the UMP-45. Damage is average for its class, being a four-shot-kill up close. Range is also average for the SMGs, with its four-shot-kill range being up to 50 meters. Rate-of-fire is high; at 950 RPM it is the second-fastest firing SMG in-game, behind the Kriss Vector's 1200 RPM. Muzzle velocity is on the low end however, at 350 meters per second. This results in the MP7 having a very quick time-to-kill up close but begins to worsen significantly outside medium ranges.
Magazine capacity is fair, on par with the PP-19 and MP5 at 30 rounds. Reload times are sluggish though, at four seconds, making it the second-slowest in its class. Recoil is low, with one degree of kick both vertically and horizontally. It is still technically the second-highest overall recoil of any SMG, but is quite controllable when compared to the likes of the Assault Rifles. Handling traits are typically good for an SMG, with good hipfire performance and mobility. Aim time is the best in-class at 0.15 seconds, although this is balanced out by having a slightly slower draw speed.
Usage & Tips
The MP7 is a 'stereotypical' SMG: high firerate, moderate recoil and damage, and fast handling traits. As such, it is a perfect introductory weapon to the SMG class. The higher firerate and movement speed of the MP7 makes it extremely potent in close-quarters-combat (CQC). At medium ranges, the recoil remains controllable enough to remain competitive, but it begins to suffer due to its low muzzle velocity and low minimum damage. The high firerate will result in magazines depleting quickly with continual use and lack of trigger discipline. The slower reload speed does not alleviate this either. Users should burst-fire when engaging targets at a distance to preserve precision and ammunition.
Like other SMGs the MP7 favours aggressive playstyles. Players should stick to objectives and other areas bound to have enemies within close proximity to maximise the MP7's lethality in CQC. As for attachments, the MP7 has multiple viable options. Whilst the iron sights are serviceable, a low-powered optic such as the Reflex Sight will provide a clearer view on target. Laser sights are quite suitable to boost hipfire performance. Grips are also quite preferable to aid in recoil mitigation to aid in remaining on target whilst firing, useful for medium ranges.
Conclusion
Overall, the MP7 is a terror in CQC. Whilst let down by its long reload times and poorer range performance, it makes up for this with its sheer firepower up close, and will provide the user with a powerful and nimble SMG.

History
The Heckler & Koch MP7 (German: Maschinenpistole 7) is a personal defense weapon (PDW) designed and manufactured by German arms engineering firm H&K. It was designed in response to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's (NATO) request for a new weapon type that was lightweight, compact, and provided greater armor-piercing capabilities than existing pistol cartridges. In 2002, NATO conducted tests between the MP7 and Belgian rival the FN P90. The latter won the trials, but Germany vetoed the P90's official adoption. The MP7 has since gone on to see service by numerous militaries and counter-terrorist organistions.
