History
The CheyTac M200 Intervention is a bolt-action sniper rifle manufactured by American small arms company CheyTac USA. It is based on the earlier EDM Arms Windrunner rifle, modified for extreme long-range precision – up to 2500 yards – with less then one minute of angle.[1][2] As part of this specialization, CheyTac designed the Intervention platform around their own .408 CheyTac round, made for accuracy at such distances. CheyTac would later offer the rifle in their .375 CheyTac cartridge, and it remains exclusively offered in these calibers.[2][3]
The M200 Intervention is primarily intended for military and law enforcement units, although CheyTac do produce civilian versions.[3] It has seen limited adoption by special forces units, including the Polish GROM and Czech 601st Special Forces Group. However, such confirmation of use is scarce due to the secretive nature of these forces and their operations.[4] Despite CheyTac's claims of record-holding accuracy, the rifle is more famous from its depiction in films, television and video games. The first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 being a notable appearance.[5]

- Whilst the M200 in-game comes with iron sights by default, CheyTac USA do not provide the real-life M200 Intervention with iron sights.[1]
